To explore the world of how connected objects could influence new forms of marketing and storytelling, we partnered with Adidas to design custom hardware and software to create The Talking Shoe.
Designed from the ground up, The Talking Shoe could take real-time data from an athlete - think running speed, jump height or length, hang time, total distance traveled, and so on - and instantaneously transmit it to apps and ads live, during the action.
As an additional way to showcase this type of storytelling through technology, we created a pair of the sneakers that could literally “talk” - imbuing them with personality, feedback, and opinions of the wearer’s performance.
