Your Story of Friendship was conceived as a way to give something back to every single person on Facebook - a custom, one-of-a-kind, synopsis of their closest friendships and the moments they’ve shared together.

Based on the idea of what an Alexander Calder sculpture might look like reimagined for the modern day, we constructed a large-scale mobile containing over one-thousand green screens and filmed it utilizing traditional filmmaking techniques. Then, using AI to recognize close relationships and the best moments spent together, we surfaced photos from each Facebook user’s public posts, and had those photos algorithmically placed on the screens to tell a story of togetherness. To complete the piece and add extra emotion, we finished the project by collaborating with Cat Power to re-record the classic Beatles hit “With A Little Help From My Friends.”
